What is Orginal Sin?

I'd like to hear from Christians what Original Sin is? Because I can never understand why God would allow the sin of a father(Adam) to be committed to the son(Humanity). I've heard reasons from others to believe why this is wrong but can anyone prove why it is right?

Adam and Eve should have their own standing thread. There's so much bull shit in this story, one hardly knows where to begin.

The fact that god made the best tree in the garden untouchable shows that he's sadistic. The fact that he also made eating that tree's fruit the deciding factor over man's eternal soul makes him downright diabolical. And being the sadistic bastard that he was, it really wouldn't surprise me to find that he was actually the serpent too ... playing both sides for his own amusement. Otherwise - why the hell would god need to make that tree in the first fucking place?????

How christians ignore this (along with thousands of other examples of supreme idiocy) is beyond my comprehension.



By the way, if the god you're considering for lifelong faith decided to test the very first two humans he ever made, failed them, kicked them out of their home, cursed them to hard labor and pain, and than required blood sacrifices for thousands of years ... you may very well want to consider that a RED FLAG when you're making your decision!
