RE: The positive case for voting Hillary Clinton for president.

I don't mind candidates having "working relationships" with business either - I'd practically demand it-....but to call what our candidates have "working relationships" is simply to scrub the language so that we can feel better about our choices, or lack thereof. Her voting record would disagree with both your assesment of who she's been working for and what bargains were the faustian ones from her perspective. Clinton does the high profile special interest she needs to do in order to build the capital to do the overwhelmingly larger amount of things she -doesn't- shout from a rooftop, and none of us even likes to think about when assessing her - least of which me...because I'd -like- to like the dem candidate. It's her political cover, not her political mission. The mission is and has always been the white house...and I don't even think she's a bad person or even believes in that larger amount of shit she's done...it's just the climate, she's done what she had to do. She's a driven woman, she's going to be president, someday. I suppose I hope that, when yall elect her, she's done with the pandering and shows us some side of herself she's simply never been able to present. That she becomes the person so many people have already imagined her to be.
