Erm, he said that mathematics is independant of experience. This is incorrect. That's the friggin point. And he is incorrect in his claim that the patterns we see in nature are based on math. Mathematics is a human construct, not a nature construct. We devise and use mathematics to analyze and understand nature. So the math is based on what we see in nature, NOT the other way around.
