Man, I hope I feel more hopeful when I see what he does and who he picks, but the signs do far aren't good.

There's not really much to hope for. His running mate and his choice of staff pretty much tells the remaining chapters of the whole story. The ones that haven't been covered by what he said so far. By the way, as the story goes, Chris Christie will have a hand in that. So, maybe invest in some additional seat belts.

I've lost my faith in humanity for a long time. I'm still kind of an idealist in thinking that there will be some point in time when people are no longer content looking up at the shiny lights on the hill and don't go begging for the next buttfuck to happen. But I'm not holding my breath.

I have to say I was privileged being born at a certain time at a certain region into a certain family. But these times are over and we quickly regress to the days my parents always warned me about. Nationalists taking advantage of the commoner's concerns and leading us into bleak days.
