Here's the problem with why the left lost. They became fractured into too many identities, and the division led to infighting among themselves and with their opponents. They focused on identity and segmented various groups of people. Blacks, whites, latinos, LGBT, religion, etc, and then further segmented them based on income creating the class warfare. Then constantly pushed the victim mentality on all groups that everyone felt disenfranchised, while the DNC pandered to each group, rather then gaining consensus that applied to the entire electorate. It inverted the identity hierarchy of importance to where people didn't think of themselves as Americans first, they identified with their skin color first, or gender first, or whatever. When that happened, suddenly anyone that disagreed with you was listed a racist, sexist, xenophobe, bigot, islamophobe, and each segment of the population had it's word to bash the character of the other. After that people stopped communicating and just started yelling their points of view rather then debating. It crashed and burned into a full blown shit show of insanity to the point we had to develop safe spaces so people could self insulate themselves into cocoons resulting in echo chambers, where the dialogue between various factions now divided stopped talking completely.
Trump placed America first. He didn't pander to various groups, as it was a broader unifying message which is why his supporters were very excited, and Hillary's supporters were not. Rising tides raise all ships. The plan is not to exploit the world by America better, but making America better to make the world better. This is what the left is failing to grasp, and why they are rioting, and freaking out. The time has come to start listening to each other, settling our grievances, not dismissing another's world view as being inferior, but learning about it, and persuading others to yours. Screaming will not take care of this, and the riots against Trump will fall on deaf ears and be dismissed.
Plus many people simply had tunnel vision and ignored criminal activity of Clinton. They are talking about a pardon for her now. If she did nothing wrong, why would she need a pardon? Think about that.
I randomly met a girl at the bar last night, and started up a conversation which led to politics. She supported Hillary, I supported Trump. Things got a bit heated at first, but I took the time to listen so she could share, and then I shared, and we talked about finding common ground, and not being enemies. We ended up talking for hours after that and became friends. Even though she has a boy friend, she showed me some naked pics of her on her phone lol, and we have plans to hang out. The point is, start the dialogue, and look for common ground. Make peace, and end the divisiveness.
