Should We Resist Trump?

In order for taking to the streets to be effective, the people have to know why they are out there. There has to be something that affects them all and they have to be clear on what they want the government to do. It won't be enough just to let them know we are unhappy. We must also send the clear message that our unhappiness will be reflected in how we vote. Send letters to your congressman and in the midterms retain those who listened to us and oust those who did not

Based on his track record, here are 10 things Trump is likely to do that will affect us all irrespective of race.

1. As a real estate mogul he was annoyed that HUID fair housing policies required him to build affordable housing in parts of the city where he wanted to build high rise luxury apartments, hotels and casinos. As president he has promised to target HUD and get rid of fair housing. So if you don’t make a million dollars a year, you’re out of luck.
2. As a real estate mogul, he showed 0 respect for private property. He used the 2005 Supreme Court ruling that allowed big businesses to use eminent domain to push homeowners and small business owners off their property as long as the big business paid higher taxes than the rightful owners.
3. He built a hotel in Washington dc and filled it with products made in China. Is this what he means by putting America first?
4. He has shown the same level of respect for women as gangsta rappers. After 8 years of squeaky clean pristine behavior in the Obama White House some American woman have decided that it’s time to bring back the good old days when boys will be boys. I don’t listen to gangsta rap and I don’t want MC Trump Dog as president.
5. He has filed for personal bankruptcy 3 times and promises to handle the American finances the same way he did his own.
6. In his book The Art of the Comeback, Trump said he thinks we should use asbestos as a fire resistant material in public schools. He dismisses the health risks of this material in favor of saving the buildings.
7. As president, he will appoint an oil industry mogul as head of the Department of Energy, and rollback programs designed to protect the environment
8. He will use eminent domain to further reinforce the fossil fuel dependent infrastructure and eliminate programs for renewable energy.
9. He equivocates on moral issues and may or may not keep the promises he made to people who voted for him concerning abortion and gay rights.
10. As a real estate developer, Trump used his money to bulldoze over so many people that his talk about reconciliation and healing wounds is not fooling anybody.
