I'm awfully confused: how do Trump supporters relate to Trump
This was something that was very common that the Deplorables said was the main reason they voted for him. But I'm curious: the man spends every other weekend at a resort surrounded by rich people. Not to mention the cost for a membership t here is over $200,000 like wtf! Are they really this stupid? Would they rather honestly have control and power even if it means fucking America?

They like him because he's a straight shooter. Anyone who rarely uses more than five words in a sentence, is, by definition, a straight shooter

Someone said he's a poor man's idea of a rich man and a stupid man's idea of a smart one.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

People want change so badly, they're willing to vote for someone who talks about change, though he did get rid of TPP. I think he might have been honest about defending transgender rights, but the ones opposed to it convinced him otherwise. There isn't much good to say about him, but even a broke clock is right twice a day.

On my last medical visit I put him down as my emergency contact.

The WLB will make sure you don't have to worry about any more medical visits.

They wanted a destroyer.  They claim to love the USA, but want the government destroyed. That is why they love him no matter what crazy shit he pulls, because they WANT the crazy shit, they see it as good.

This is because they honestly believe there is a shadow government, one world order, Illuminati, or some other thing along those lines.  They think he'll somehow save the US from it.  It's magical thinking at it's worst, they think he's a superhero fighting a megavillain.

But also because he speaks and thinks at their level, and they like that.  Intelligence makes them feel insignificant and unimportant. They like small words, spoken loudly, with an equally small vocabulary.

Plus, he uses a lot of superlatives, which appeals to people who are rigid and small minded in their views.  <-----this is backed up by science!

They relate to the fact that he talks like a dumb third-grader. Trumpsters think that anyone that is well-spoken is talking down to them.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
