It's the only time in my life that I actually feel somewhat depressed, as well. I always feel hopeless after surgeries when I'm in the PACU.
This one nurse is really pissing me off, she's so rude. She talks like I'm a naughty boy who isn't trying hard enough to breathe. It's a shame because all the others are lovely. I don't need the stress bitch, I'm trying to recover. Anyhow, I feel really good despite what any silly test says. I'm sure the chest X-ray will clear me. I think the tightness from the operation is restricting my breathing somewhat. And I have all these tubes pulling me. And you're being a bitch. I'm still achieving my baseline, so what more do you want you stupid cow?
Every time she walks into the room start holding your breath.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
