while I've been known to help others at 12 Steppers, I'm quite cautious, and generally confine it to rides, help moving, time and such. As for $$$, I've donated items to fund raising auctions, bought supplies (coffee, sugar, etc), I've taken a few people grocery shopping, I've paid a minimal copay on some prescriptions, I've bought sobriety chips to pass out, and IIRC, I put up some money for a convention rental at a motel.
I've never posted bail or paid a fine for anyone, I don't even recall picking someone up at jail or court for a ride home.
I have tolerated smoking in my vehicle, LOL!
I've also noticed EXTREMELY valuable advice regarding avoiding stupid purchases, vehicle maintenance, home/apt repairs I've offered has invariably been ignored.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
