Immediately upon hearing this news, I decided to look and see how Kirk reacted to his TV dad dying, and if he used it as an opportunity to preach about the wages of sin or something. So far, no news whatsoever on the Kirk Cameron front. Nothing on Facebook or Twitter, except for quite a few people asking "why did they take Alan Thicke but leave Kirk Cameron?", and not even his ambulance-chasing butt-boy Ray Comfort hasn't mentioned it, but I'm fairly certain something will happen in a few hours.
I said the same thing on Facebook... "Why couldn't it have been Kirk Cameron instead?" At least that would give me a little reason to believe in a kind, just, and loving god.
I also wondered if Kirk would use Thicke's death as a platform to preach. We shall see.
It looks like his Instagram message regarding Thicke's death keeps it classy. I won't bother to post a link here because I found something more amusing: Alan Thicke's reaction to Cameron's anti-gay nonsense:

From the article:
Thicke, who played Kirk Cameron's father on the family friendly sitcom Growing Pains, tweeted in response to Cameron calling homosexuality "unnatural" and "destructive" on Piers Morgan Tonight, writing "I'm getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can't be expected to explain everything." That tweet followed a softer comment on Sunday night, in which Thicke tweeted, "I'll address kirk's comments as soon as I recover from Rush Limbaugh's."
Later in the day, Thicke added another joke, tweeting, "I love Kirk but I may have to spank him...'tho not in a gay way!"
Well played, Mr. Thicke.
