Although I can think of dozens of reasons why it's better to have a good relationship with Russia then a bad one, including the welfare of the 200 million+ people who live there. But fuck them, right? Also we should have economic gain from working with the Russians. That's one of the big positives of improved relations. To see that as a negative is beyond me. Esspecially considering all the other countries we have economic relations with.
Just how much do think the average Russian benefits from us being friendly with Putin, a man that controls the press and murders those that speak out? If their welfare was the big concern, we should be trying to remove him.
And I wasn't talking about the U.S. financial gains, whatever that may be. I was talking about Trump and his family's.

They've never done anything as bad as hacked an email server to reveal information that shouldn't be secret in the first place??? I mean all that stuff that you said about supporting dictators and murderers could be said about Obama as well. If that's a reason to make a whole people suffer, then it would be done to America. Also, they didn't 'hack our government.' They hacked a private email server and revealed information that we should have had access too anyway
Point to one instance I've said it's good to be friends with Saudi Arabia and Obama shouldn't be criticized, and you'll have a point. As it stands you're just flailing your arms and tossing out red herrings.
Fine, private servers run by government officials. Way to miss the forest for the trees. The point is that they tried to manipulate the election. It's not as if there isn't anything in the Republican's e-mails that we would benefit from, but the Russians were only interested in swaying opinion one way. No big deal, right?

I literally see it everyday. Fake news has been around since the internet. In fact some of the stories about Russia making up fake news that I've seen have no real sources. They even called the Ron Paul report Russian controlled fake news based on nothing at all. Left leaning fake news even gets repeated on here from time to time. So I know that you know it's not some sort of right wing phenomenon that originates in Russia.
Sure, fake news is a problem on both sides. I guarantee you, though, if we went tit for tat, there would turn out to be much more fake news on the right. #Pizzagate
Regardless, you once again miss the point. The Russians tried to manipulate the American people, so...let's be friends with no consequences? It's absurd.
