This is likely due to ignorance/emotional bias.
I am atheistic, and I had 3 years prior discarded all beliefs.

In this way, I am able to embrace probabilistic thinking.
Now, atheist or not, gods are likely.
It turns out that one doesn't need belief/faith/certainties to observe probabilities:
