Next I went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

In the Rotunda is a massive stuffed African Bull Elephant. Amazing.


Lots of cool animal displays, including some fossils.

After that, I went to the American History Museum:

After all that, and since the new African America Heritage Museum is booked out until April apparently, I concluded my tour, only to be offered tickets to a hockey game. Watched a goalfest Washington Capitals game.


Pretty good seats.

All in all, a pretty eventful day.

I am so jealous, this visit to the Smithsonian ... but it won't be too long before I get there too. Great stuff, Steely.
