Obviously there will always be criminals that refuse to follow the law and they'll be punished. You can't possibly think the amount of criminals actually justify a crime? lol

What crime?  Even under the proposed bill abortion won't be a crime.  You see, we have that roe v wade thing preventing them from outright making it a crime.  They have to go round the ballpark to touch the issue.

The amount of "criminals" created, but more appropriately the effect of making them criminals absolutely -was- part of our justification for our decision to allow abortions.  The law was worse than the "crime".  I'll ask again, do you understand this issue, will you acknowledge that we're even having this discussion, or will you repeat talking points like a puppet and avoid any consideration of the issue entirely? You see, you don;t have to have a favorable view of abortion, you can consider it murder if you like. I don't have a favorable view of it myself....but it won't change the reality of the situation, and you do not need to have a favorable view of it to argue -for- it's availability. Whether or not you think abortion is "hur dur baby murder" is entirely irrelevant. I get that it triggers you, but try, do try, to get over your triggers.

Most people, if you care enough to wonder, don't argue -for- abortion, but -against- the consequences of making it illegal. That's something that can't be ignored when discussing a law. We don't even have to wonder what those consequences would be, in this case, as we've been there, we've done that, we know how it turns out.
