Again, I agree. While I see their vote as necessarily harmful to me, I don't see their vote as purposefully harmful to me. While I see them as mistaken and I disagree with them, that doesn't mean they are an asshat.
Now if they start voting for local measures they have more direct control over that would be harmful to me, I don't think I could ignore that. That's different than voting for a person. There are different levels of voting that you can make different assumptions about.
