Hmmm...suddenly doesn't seem so simple, does it?
What does that have to do with evidence for gods?
Stay on point, Chad -- when you deflect, you demonstrate the weakness of your position; especially when you have to impute views, or make invalid comparisons, as you've done here.
It's perfectly simple to me: the Christian god completely and entirely lacks evidence. Feel free to demonstrate this wrong by, uh, y'know, presenting evidence, rather than arguments.
He was referring to your comment about evidence. I think he means there isn't hard "evidence" for a lot of things, including the questions he asked above. It doesn't mean those aren't still valid questions to ponder, and that the answer to them is as simple as "there's no evidence for any of this therefore there's no reason to take this any further. Case closed."
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
