My mother has a plaque hanging in her garage that reads, "A friend is someone who will bail you out of jail. A real friend is someone who's sitting next to you saying, 'Man, wasn't that fun?'"
And my dad used to say, "A friend isn't someone who tells you what you want to hear, a friend is someone who tells you what you need to hear."
