In purely evolutionary terms, rape can sometimes be the only effective reproduction strategy for low-status males.* We're just 'dancing to our DNA**', don't ya'know.

That doesn't seem to be an example of pointless suffering not being bad.
You're a believer, right? How is it moral for God to create circumstances where rape is the only effective reproductive strategy? In an indifferent universe, there's no reason to expect anything but game theory to play out, so it's not surprising that this sort of thing happens. It's only surprising if there's a theodic deity about.
In any case, the females have no obligation to allow themselves to be raped and in a social species they have multiple options to punish rapists, from being protected by the males they choose, to ganging up on rapists and killing them, depending on their ability to communicate and organize. That sort of thing tends to curtail the effectiveness of rape as a reproductive strategy.

You really are an idiot, aren't you?
Not really. But he has chosen to defend an idiotic position. He's bound to have those moments.

Someone recently gave the example that Genghis Khan didn't believe in equality. So we know morality can be subjective. There are plenty of examples. It's the claim that morality is both absolute and objective that could benefit from scientific backing, because the subjectivity is amply and easily demonstrated, not least by the arguments over it.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
