I don't like when the title is split either for the same reasons you laid out, but after the conversation has developed a bit, I find myself torn, because I do enjoy a clever, fun, or witty title. Some of which rely on hiding it's meaning until the thread is opened to deliver it's punch; unfolding like a joke.
