We conceded the pacific, and the future of trade, when we bowed out of TPP, as imperfect as it may have been. We voluntarily made ourselves second stringers when only we could have done so, to ourselves. Just as one factual rebuttal to your ideological examples. NAFTA...the EU...crazy...really, so long as crazy means something other than, well, crazy...I guess?
