There are some brands of canned soup available here in the states to which you do not add water and which taste .. less bad .. than condensed soup. But no soup can compare to one I make from scratch, and when I do make soup I'll have a meal every day for over a week often with a little frozen for down the road.
My favorites to make: Lamb neck and barley; broccoli and cheese; potato and sorrel; and of course a general stock pot chicken/turkey based soup following the consumption of any whole bird.
