RE: Are there any scientific books or studies that explain what makes a person religious?

I am VERY religious. I pray often, go to church often. I am an active member of the Lutheran community. I think that honestly, (no wishy washy theological bias), it has to do with two things:
1) where you are born (what the dominant religion is, or which religions are accepted by society)
2) your upbringing. Some families and countries in general have a culture that is more religious than others.
I know my family was very religious, and although most Poles are Catholic, the Lutheran faith has many similarities. We all talk about God and similar concepts, so it makes sense that religion is integral in my life.
Bonus: people like to have answers to things, and religion does answer questions (even if according to you, the answers are wrong) people like an answer better than no answer.
