Plus I never said you were not well read in the subject of history, or a part of the population that lacks intelligence. You have been on this board longer then I have, and I always have liked a lot of posts and threads though we disagree on some things. I do keep up the fight in a way, even though I only care about a few things. The freedom of the internet, The relationship with Japan, and my own life. I've told a lot of people about Crypto parties, Tor, freenet, and the proper usage of a VPN. If the internet is at stake, or Japan is not as open with it's exports to the rest of the world, I'll be up in arms, and or if something effects me directly, I will raise my voice.(March 28, 2017 at 6:23 pm)Sterben Wrote: I do understand what is occurring, it is something that be avoided entirely, only the impact can be soften. It's a problem that occurs to every empire through out every empire. The U.S has grown too big big to keep under control and demonstrate a type of logic that is needed to maintain a empire of this size. A single lion can only hunt so many ostriches, we could scream as loud as you can in the streets. You can go on national television and be on every channel warning people on what is going to happen, but few will listen. Since I know the phases of most every empire, it's human nature that is at fault here. Instead of myself trying to warn people, why would I want to go to these lengths to help people, when these people can't help themselves?
You must be one hell of a masochist, to want to try to wake people up from this dream state we exist in. I wish you the best of luck on trying to improve things, as for a person who tried a few times with no success in educating people on what is happening. The ship is going down and there is no life boat or aid on it's way to help us. The more intelligent in this type of situation save themselves over others, and I'm saving myself first.
Oooh, well you're clearly too smart for me to continue this conversation ... even though you're the one expressing a preference for ignorance. Then you top it off by making the assumption -- and that's all it is, a fatuous assumption -- that I'm not well-read on history. The fact that that assumption is self-serving for you is surely a coincidence, no?
Tell us again -- how is your ignorance going to, in your words, "save [your]self"? How is cutting yourself off from facts going to save you anything except worry?
You're not saving jack-shit. You're plugging your ears, crying "lalalalala", and you want a cookie for it. Sorry, I'm fresh out of cookies. Go begging elsewhere for the cred you so obviously want. Me, I'll keep fighting our rights and freedoms, and if the only thing that earns from you is scorn, so be it. You won't be the first lazy ingrate I've ever met in my life.
You are partially right, I am lazy but I'm not a ingrate. I do use the "lalalaa" system on certain elements of our society. But, I do not care I'm not going to be personally involved in anything that I do not have a passion for.
