When Americans have a universal respect for that  you can lecture the Muslims

If you're openly homosexual in the US the worst an average bigot will do is call you names. If you're openly homosexual in the middle East you're not living long. Women have centers and people to go to for support in the US if they're raped or abused. Middle eastern women have to keep that to themselves if they don't want to be executed for adultery. There is a definite difference in attitudes.

Or beat you till you bleed or harass into suicide . You could lose your job. Be disowned by your own  family. Be pressured into conversion therapy were you can and people are and have been driven to suicide. As for rape look up the percentage of rapists who go free .Or rape cases that are thrown out on legal loop holes. Or the number of woman in my own country of native origin who go missing with no investigation for decades. (see the Robert Pickton case) Or the many many woman who have reported dissatisfaction with how rape cases are treated in court or by the police.( for fuck sake we just had a judge rule that if a woman is drunk and raped it doesn't count as rape)( Or fired a judge 6 years later for telling a rape victim to close her legs)   I work in this field professionally my friend .


As for the middle east your generalizing . As for Muslims in the west opinion polls and studies tend to lack nuance . As I have worked with Muslim families for close to 10 years mainly new immigrants and many many many don't share said views . And of those who are homophobic few advocate death.
