While I've never been to Britain and have little British ancestry (save for some Clam Duncan) I do have a strong affinity with them, enough that I not only wear a Union Jack t-shirt every Fourth of July, I also have a job writing for Anglotopia, an Anglophile blog, and a commenter on my recent review of Trainspotting said they thought I was "a Jock [Scotsman] or at least a closet Brit." Of course, translating "Nemo me lacessit impune" as "Dinna fook wi' Scotland" might have had something to do with it.
