Don't know how it sounds... The spirit was that, by the end of the month, one mile should seem like a somewhat short run... ~7 minutes or so...
You can do it Tibs... I dare you to reach 2 miles by Easter.
Sorry, but it sounded like you were being sardonic about it, as if a mile is a weak goal. A minus seven-minute mile in a month is a lofty challenge for someone who doesn't do any distance running. I'm sure he can, but he's much better with speed than with endurance. Even when I was running several miles, several days a week, he was faster than me over short distances. I think the trick for him will be pacing. If he doesn't push like he's used to, he'll last longer. (That's what she said.) Thanks for the encouragement! I hope he goes faster and farther than he expected.

The other 50 cals goes for a splash of milk in tea throughout the day. Otherwise, drinking water.
Not a massive fan of salad as a meal on its own, but life got in the way of soup-making over the weekend.

I think the planning you are doing will go a long way in making it easier to stick to your fasting days. Good luck!
I've gone two days so far eating pretty well. Started today off with an oatmeal and a yogurt.
