Why do you think? And what exactly do you base that on? I know you're a Palestinian supporter but come on dude, calling it a "racist", "genocidal" and "near dictatorship" is a little over the top.

The conflict between Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State in Afghanistan are well documented, but they are still active (albeit not on the same scale as Syria and Iraq) in the country.

We get a lot of talk about how different groups are entrenching themselves in different areas, but it is never discussed where they got their munitions and funding from (all too often indirectly from the US and UK through the likes of Saudi Arabia and Israel), how people are pushed into them (the masses of airstrikes that hit only innocent civilians get brushed under the carpet with depressing regularity), and how easily that today's allies become tomorrows "worst threat to world peace". Western governments are working in a regional political and cultural situation they don't understand, don't want to learn about and worst of all in which they keep repeating the same mistakes.
I would say that a lot of the Islamic terrorist groups get their funding and weapon from the "moderate" rebels, of which our countries fund, supply and train - then it goes right into IS' hands. Of course, you also have countries such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan who openly fund terrorists which doesn't exactly help matters either.
You say that the West are in a political and cultural situation they don't understand, and while I somewhat agree with you there, what exactly is the answer? If we pulled out of the Middle East completely you would probably criticise the West for not doing enough.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
