I read Lee's first book. It was a hard slog, like all apologetics I've encountered thus far, in the sense that it was hard to get through two pages without reading something so stupid it made me want to bang my head against something hard (but I resisted that urge). Apparently he was an atheist because the cool kids were and set out on a quest to prove his religious wife wrong (that is, his motivation was apparently to demonstrate what a giant douchebag to his wife he could be), apparently by finding every believing scholar and scientist he could find and dwelling on them while giving short shrift to any who were skeptical. Pretty weird behavior for someone trying to disprove Jesus if you ask me. Personally, I think a good prosecutor would have no trouble eviscerating his one-sided 'case', which is particularly annoying considering how objective the author is claiming to be.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
