My expectation is that it takes a really good bang to collapse caves, which means a big bomb. A nuke would do the job, but there is a lot of baggage that would come with that use, that the US won't face with conventional explosives.

That's what the MOAB was designed to do. It did it. Happy chance that so many ISIS assholes got pulverized in the process.

If it did that (collapse caves), how did the Afghans get a body count, and, where are all the bodies?  My guess is that ISIS was tipped-off prior to the bomb dropping and simply fled elsewhere.
