A President has to be able to make those choices. They make those choices every fucking day when other people's children's lives are at stake (often minors, not adults). If they can't do it--then they're not fit to be President.
And it still doesn't explain why the fuck we still protect past Presidents. They can afford their own damn security. (Just as the adult children of Presidents can afford their own)
Do you really think anyone is going to be as cold and calculating when their family is on the line as when faceless it's faceless strangers?

But why protect them, then, in the case when the bad people already got their hooks into them before Drumpfuck was elected?
So, we should only offer protection to presidential families on a case by case basis? Who gets to decide which are worthy and which aren't?
