This isn't the way I'd take it. From what I know of the Boy Scouts, they are granted government funding for some of their larger events. They are also allowed to recruit on public school grounds. This is the distinction I would make between these things. Parades like this are not tied up in the government in any way.
Of course they are. They happen in public streets, they get public permits. I'm not going to split hairs about the difference though. It's obvious that you guys are only making this argument because they are excluding a Trump supporting gay group. I don't know why you can't just say that. Yes, they have the right to discriminate, but that's not what I'm arguing anyway.
I'm simply pointing out the irony of the long fight of gays to be included in society, only to discriminate against other gays for their political beliefs. Especially if they are okay with the Catholic Church of all people.
