The double standard isn't exclusive to being sexual. It also is societal. The two are linked:
Society says women have to cover up their breasts because their breasts have continuously been viewed as an object of sexuality, rather than as a food source for infants. And why is that? Because breasts turn people on. And why could that be? Because magazines like Penthouse and Playboy display them as such. And then we have the highly anticipatory Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition that comes out every year, glorifying the female body in scantily clad clothing marketed as "swimwear".
