Haha. That's true.
The main reason I 'quit' Christianity was because of Christians really. I quote a certain site:
<XnD> Personally its not God I dislike, its his fan club I cant stand
But yes. It gets rather irritating.
First of all there are the preachers. They preach good morals and good habits, but more often than not fail to practice these habits themselves; ironic, much like Al Gore's annual electricity consumption. Need I dig up newspaper articles on particular priests?
Then second, there are the converters. They just brainwash those who can't really think for themselves as of yet, and they hard-headedly try to 'persuade' others to join their religion, even though its more of like 'if you don't become Christian, I'm telling you that you'll burn in Hell, then you'll regret it'. And the next day they just come back for more. Its incessant.
Three, those who base their arguments on God. Its more or less like, 'You must do this, because God says so!' 'We must do that, because God says so!' When you hear it everyday, you just get tired of it.
And last but definitely not least, the narrow-minded. They simply can't stand it if people question or make small jokes about their religion. Worse, they get extremely defensive, and start scolding and threatening and whatnot. They simply cannot accept other people's viewpoints, at all. These people really disgust me, for lack of a better word.
So yes, essentially that was my experience as a Christian, and I dare not say its much different nowadays. fr0d0 you're actually one of the better ones? Because you accept questioning. There are worse people out there.
But that's what I think.
