Well, there is something to the point that if Trump is so freaking bad, how in the world did you guys lose to him?
Simple. The number of misinformed, stupid and/or cynically malevolent people in this country combined with the people too unwilling to vote for a viable alternative who didn't meet their purity standards was greater than the number of people willing to do the right thing. Therefore we have elected the abomination known as Trump. Hope that helps.

I have extended family members who are die-hard supporters; say anything bad about Trump and they will blow a piston. None of them are very well educated, and all are into evangelical Christianity. Trump speaks their language and does not talk down to them.
Of course technically he isn't capable of talking down to them when he is their peer, informationally.
