Which portions, of newtons work, if you had to guess...were jesus?
All of it, his talents came from his creator, another belief Newton understood.

I doubt that their reputation in providing medicine has anything at all to do with reading people fairytales by the bedside.
I know a top flight heart surgeon who prays for his patients. I have a friend who worked in surgery with a surgeon who prayed before every surgery, and knowing Adventist as I do they all pray before surgery. My wife read scripture to anyone who asked, she also prayed with them and you can bet she gave them the love, compassion and comfort they needed. She was a good nurse that worked in a critical care unit where most people did not leave, alive.

The Bible is not a history book, though there is history that can be gathered from it.

The Adventist church most certainly uses Jesus in it's medical practices. I have Adventist friends who keep me informed on such things.

Newton never denied he was am Alchemist either. In fact, he wrote more on alchemy than he did on science and Christianity.
Bottom line, the fact that he was a Christian, means absolutely nothing when it comes to scientific discoveries. The fact that he may have claimed his work was in any way inspired by his supernatural god beliefs, says nothing about whether that claim is actually true.
His discoveries would be just as valid if he was a Hindu.
If he had been a Hindu it might have been a long time before God revealed what he revealed through Newton.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
