Welcome! I have family in Vancouver. Only been to Calgary, myself. I struggled a lot in school, particularly with writing. But at 41, have just in the past few weeks, have picked it up as a hobby again, after rereading a short story book by Jimmy Buffett. Unfortunately, character formation seems to be my only forte. Plots are a total mystery to me. But, yes, I'm with you on imaginary worlds and such. It's fun.
