I simply reply to the posts about my post and I'm straw hunting? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I do promise not to request that anyone go back to sucking Trump's dick in my replies.
As for the weather, I just know what I've seen. We were pulled out of the mountains of Afghanistan because of record snow falls and worse weather coming when I was in the marines.
In 2008 I was in south west corner of Wisconsin where there was a record setting year for cold and snow with over 100" of snow over the winter.
A few years later, I got stuck in the middle of the highway in a four wheel drive truck by myself during another record snow fall with 30-45 mph winds and 5 degrees before the wind chill. Don't recall what the windchill actually was, but it was fucking brutal with 16"+ in 36 hours.
And I've been traveling to the same area in Alaska for nearly 35 years to hunt moose, deer, and/or elk. I've missed a year or two here and there and had some bigger gaps when I was in the military, but there has never been a shortage of snow in the mountains. Maybe a bit less one year compared to the previous, but there's more and it's just as colder or colder on the next hunting trip.
I can be proved wrong and I'll accept it if I am, but with such conflicting stories, a boat load of money to be made by one side, and the fact that I continue to see record cold and snow in areas where I'm at and read the reports in other areas I'm familiar with; it'll take more than Al Gore, a web site, or a reporter on CNN to change my mind.
And if you don't want other sides, don't reply to someone's differing opinion.
