a new atheist and marriage

Traditional roles were created by humans and human societies just like their religions were. God had nothing to do with marriage customs. Marriage is a human arrangement. As an atheist you are free to borrow any societal norm and make it your own. Then again, if you think you can come up with something totally unique, give it your best shot.
