According to who? And why? Maybe we should take this same "do nothing" approach to Isis as well. I mean, after all...interfering with a dangerous group of people who perpetuate hate, and spawn crimes against humanity may lead to the risk of escalating violence. And we wouldn't want that, now wouldn't we?
If this had been a non-white terrorist attack on American soil, the right would be jerking off, squealing, "this is why we need our guns! 'Murrica!" *orgasm*
Wally, no protesters marched into Clan territory; the clansmen came to them. Big difference.
This is the approach we take with Isis. Most regular citizens do nothing and let the military/intelligence agencies take care of it. Just because you and I aren't punching Nazi's doesn't mean the police and FBI aren't monitoring them.
That's how most things are dealt with. We've set up a system to deal with shit like this to keep things from escalating and putting people in danger.
It's a bit tricky in the US, because these guys can can have rally's and say horrible things in public places. It's not anybody's 'territory'. I'm okay with making that illegal if people want. It's definitely a slippery slope, but I don't mind personally. I know a bunch of this sort of stuff is illegal in Germany. Just like I'm fine with taking down the statues. I think the statue thing is goofy, but cities/states can decide for themselves.
But the point I keep making, is that once people start operating outside the law, even if it's something seemingly justifiable like punching a fascist, things are going to trend poorly for everyone.

As for needing 'our guns,' the counter protesters should definitely be carrying guns. I don't know if a full on shootout is likely, but it's definitely a real possibility, and you know the white supremacists are going to have plenty when it goes down.

Hey, you know what, that's a good question. Maybe they should. OTOH, not everyone is suited to be the red right hand, and some of us who were are all used up. So, why not you? How about you?
It is a real good question. That people protesting a statue's removal from 100 years ago sort of related to slavery must be stood up to and punched in the face, but real slavery in the 21st century we keep our distance from?
Just like we don't see a lot of the scary Nazi's getting punched. The drug running weapons dealing Neo Nazi's gangs seem to get a free pass from the mighty Antifa. But the hot dog maker with the noodle arms and dopey haircut, they bravely face off against him.
It's almost like it's all bullshit.
