I cycle around Moss side a bit, but mainly on the outskirts which is Rushhome aka the curry mile.
Moss side is the ghetto bit of Manchester so I doubt corrie is set there but I could be wrong.
I think there was probably a time when Moss Side was the worst place to be but the police really went hard on the gangs there.
It's pretty difficult to keep up with where the bad areas are because property developers seem to change an entire area fast, an area that used to be gangs, drug addicts and prostitutes turns into fancy flats, bearded bespectacled hipsters but also with a few drug addicts and prostitutes still lingering around.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
