I've slept in 72 countries. Not one single one was 100% pro- or 100% anti-US. Just like everywhere there were different opinions about this country, but in every single country I got a warm welcome and had a lot of fun.
My count is not that large by a long shot, but I've lived in countries that were sullen-to-hostile towards us and not once did I experience personal disrespect. The folks where I was understood the difference between my nation's history and my own outlook.
I still understand why they shake a fist at us in many cases, but they never once shook a fist at me.

I didn't. And neither did a majority of American voters.
I refuse to bear that guilt, even as I have to deal with the fallout of his election.
