Yes. And the sheer number of people willing to vote for him. There are a lot of people in the country who support him. Yes, it was not the majority, but it was still enough.

Not by me. If others elsewhere want to practice sloppy thinking and broadbrushing, great. But it's not my duty to accept it as a judgement. If you're comfortable owning it, do so in my stead, thankyouverymuch.
Me, I'll speak for myself. I didn't vote for the man, I detest most of his positions, and I have nothing but contempt for his outlook. If someone wants to judge me on the basis of another person's vote, why am I obligated to accept that when I did what I could to prevent his presidency?
The fact remains though, that he is there. Gerrymandering, majority voters, etc, all of that doesn't matter because he's there.
It WILL matter next election. But until then, we're fucking powerless. This is what other nations see.
