Antiques. I don't get people's fascination with them. Yeah, I can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into an old piece of furniture (they really don't make 'em like that anymore), but it's not an object of passionate interest for me, nor do I want to own it. My wife can spend hours happily rummaging through antique shops, cooing over every item in superlative terms. I just see a bunch of old junk.
There are a lot of musical acts I gather I'm supposed to like more than I do. The Doors, for instance. I like some of their songs, but most of it leaves me cold. And Morrison was a pretentious wanker whose 'legend' is ridiculously out of proportion to his achievements. Hell, for me, the two most interesting members of that group -- the guitarist and the drummer -- are the two guys no one ever talks about. There are others, but I'll spare you.
