1. Set a good example by taking care of yourself.
2. Your kids may notice your true intentions more than you realize. So less white lies to spare them crying and more being true to yourself... they will follow suit.
Those are my pieces of advice but then... I'm no parent. I'm basing it entirely on how I felt as a child. I felt like my parents behaved like they thought I was stupid and they were sooooooooo easy to see through and see what they really felt and thought.
