Does the end ever justify the means?

RE: Does the end ever justify the means?
That isn't really a question you can be so broad with.

A murderer is caught by civilians and tortured to death. The ends are a bad person died and good riddance. Is taking the law into your own hands and being the judge, jury, and executioner justifying the means?

You spend way more money than you should have and will have to suffer later is considered the ends but you have a trip of a lifetime and wouldn't trade it for anything else. It would go to say it is worth it.
“What screws us up the most in life is the picture in our head of what it's supposed to be.”

Also if your signature makes my scrolling mess up "you're tacky and I hate you."
