Thoughts on Hell?

Story aside.
If there is a God and that God is an all-powerfull, all-knowing creator of this world, humans can't send themselves to Hell. God would send them to hell. Furthest you could argue is that 'God makes them send themselves to hell', but that is still the same, innit?

 God does sentence the unbelieving to hell, they choose not to believe. Given that they reject God means they have chosen hell. I'm not sure how you could believe that a person isn't responsible for their actions and then reap the consequences. God says He desires no one to perish, this would eliminate your idea that God makes them chose hell.

Despite my prior theoretical explorations of how a truly omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent deity with EXTREMELY sensitive feelings might go about infinitely tormenting any and all beings for even the most microscopic affronts, I bet I have barely scratched the surface on just how infinitely awful a hell He could come up with.

Not even Edgar Allan Poe would have a clue . . .

 People who find themselves in hell will recognize it as what they created for themselves. God has made a place for people to live in their own hell, a lonely place where no one will see another, yet will be able to hear the self made suffering of all who are there. This will be an eternal place placed far from God's saved ones so we want have to hear or see such suffering.

I don't worry about Hell. I heard that a magical Jew was murdered long time ago, so that we can all go to Heaven. If it  ever again seems likely, that we might go to Hell - we'll just sacrifice another wizard, or something...

 You like me have already killed Him, accepting what one has done and asking forgiveness for the actions that caused this death will bring an eternal redemption.

Infinite punishment isn't just because there's no such thing as infinite wrongdoing. At some point your suffering would be equal to the suffering you caused.

 It's not about causing suffering, you can't cause God to suffer anymore. It is about rejecting the One who suffered for you so you wouldn't spend an eternity in hell. You sin against an eternal omnipresent God and any sin that isn't forgiven last forever and thus your suffering will last forever.

Yes, people often behave badly.  I wouldn't go so far as to call that hell, though, because whatever pain others cause eventually comes to an end.

The religious hell concept?  Pure myth, just a scare tactic.

 You better have proof of that statement. Just exactly why would Christianity need to have a scare tactic, what would be the purpose. Christians declare a truth to those who have chosen not to believe, that's reality not a scare tactic.
