There will be problems in any education system anywhere, of course, but implying that adults shouldn't put their kids in some sort of educational structure is ludicrous, and calling anyone who supports this as a 'mere pawn' is insulting and lazy.
You can compare the systems for different societal strata (just take the elites - looking at the lower strata shows how education could be destructive) in different cultures, extract whats best from all of them and teach Your child in such a way.
The most basic thing I believe to be important is to teach how to learn by ourselves not just teach a subject. The fish vs fish rod question.
I don't like this topic its kinda depressing to know how much potential is being supressed.
If circumstances will allow, I won't send my kids to any school before college.
