I don't see how that can fulfill any sort of emotional human need when you know it's not real, but that's just me I guess.
Anyway, nobody criticizes kids for having stuffed toys because they aren't "really" emotionally comforting.

When I was younger, some of my best female friends were exotic dancers or prostitutes. For the most part, they identified the best way for them to make money at that time, were trying to save money for dance class or college, and were respectable human beings.
That's in Vancouver, though. Obviously in harder areas, where pimps are coercing young girls with drugs and so on, things are much worse. But it's not the job itself that's really the horror-- it's the way the girls are being abused.
