Betsey Ross Wright (born July 4, 1943) is an American lobbyist, activist, and political consultant who worked more than a decade for Bill Clinton in Arkansas. She served as chief of staff to Governor Clinton for seven years. As deputy chair of the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign, Wright established the rapid response system that was responsible for defending Clinton's record in Arkansas and promptly answering all personal attacks on the candidate. During the 1992 campaign, Wright coined the term "bimbo eruptions" to describe rumors alleging extramarital affairs by Clinton.
For those of us old enough to remember "bimbo eruptions" during Bill's campaigns for president, yeah, things are looking a bit different in light of subsequent events. Having a paid team of staff to deal with "eruptions" seems rather ground breaking now considering this was back in the 90s.
Additionally, I note Weinstein had a paid team to deal with the repercussions of his conduct. Lisa Bloom is rather up to her eyeballs in the Weinstein mess and for her role in it. Yet she's' also been on the 'correct side' of all manner of abuse actions too. Perhaps that is why Weinstein possibly made her an 'offer she couldn't refuse'.
I'll also note during Bill's impeachment and acquittal subsequent revelations have cast some of his accusers and detractors as guilty of their own similar horrendous conduct.
