Yeah the guy who did Zeitgeist drew heavily from her book. It's received a lot of criticism, not necessarily on the correlations, but in their presentation. Large amounts of sun worship are built in to our religious traditions. The strength of an idea is sometimes it's longevity. It would have been difficult for us to escape a trend towards solar deities, obviously because the sun is so visible and so important to us. That's where it ends, of course. People have tried to weave elaborate conspiracy theories out of this innocent little quirk of human thought.
In the grand tradition of denying everyone their cake, I have to stress that while the presentation is single-minded and sensationalist, it is factually correct. Many faiths had a hand in the christian faith, and it carries those marks everywhere it goes.

Hell, even among the faithful it's long been known that certain denominations of christianity had heavy pagan influence. So much so that many denominations branched off on theological lines. Unfortunately it is impossible to completely divorce christianity from it's pagan heritage, and so those same defectors carried on the pagan traditions wherever they went.
There ya go Emanuel, have fun.
(Christianity is still being influenced by "pagan faiths". Specifically eastern mystery traditions. That's how it goes, the religious have a profound effect on religion.)

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
